2. Information We Collect

When you create an account and use PadelCircle, we collect:

• Identity: Your name and email address (required for account creation)
• Contact: Phone number (optional, used for match coordination)
• Profile: Date of birth, skill level (beginner / intermediate / pro)
• Location: City and country (used to show courts near you)
• Availability: Dates, time slots, and courts you post for matching
• Corporate: Company promo code, if you use one provided by your employer

We do not collect precise GPS location, payment card details, or any government-issued identity.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account
• To match you with compatible padel players at the same court and time
• To send match confirmation emails (court, time, teammates)
• To apply corporate discounts when you book at a partner court
• To send important service updates (e.g. match cancellations)
• To improve the matching algorithm and overall app experience

We do not use your data for advertising or sell it to third parties.

4. How We Share Your Information

We share limited information with the following trusted service providers:

• Clerk (clerk.com/privacy) — handles authentication, sign-in, and email verification
• Resend (resend.com/privacy) — delivers transactional emails (match confirmations, corporate activation notices)
• Replit (replit.com/privacy) — hosts our servers and database infrastructure

Other players in a confirmed match can see your name, skill level, and first initial of your last name. Your email, phone, and date of birth are never shown to other players.

We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of our users.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data is removed from our systems within 30 days. Anonymised match records (no personal identifiers) may be retained for service improvement.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate information via the Profile screen in the app
• Delete your account and associated data by contacting us
• Withdraw consent at any time for optional data uses
• Data portability — request a copy of your data in a readable format

7. Children's Privacy

PadelCircle is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS), secure token-based authentication via Clerk, and access-controlled databases. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we take your data security seriously.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top. Significant changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice.
